A road has been closed after a fire engulfed a ground floor apartment.
Emergency services were called to the Lower Breck Road fire in Anfield at around 10.30am on Wednesday June 1. Three fire crews were dispatched to the scene and firefighters used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service were also present and one person was taken to hospital after being assessed by paramedics at the scene.

Road closures were put in place and Arriva diverted buses via Priory Rd, Breck Road, Belmont Rd, West Derby Rd and then onto Lower Breck Rd. The road closures have now been lifted and traffic has returned to the normal in the region.
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews were alerted at 10.26am and at the scene at 10.30am. Three fire engines were present.
“On arrival, teams discovered a fire in a ground floor apartment. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with high pressure hose reels. Teams then aired the property and carried out checks home fire safety while they are present.
“Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service were also present during the incident. One person was examined at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment. MFRS left the scene at 12:54 p.m..”
