The Brief
For their new home in Banashankari, Veena and Raghav were looking for interiors that has all the functionality of a modern home. However, they also wanted their home to have a classic, timeless look as they were setting it up for their retired life. After finding a home close to friends and family, it was important to the couple that they had a home where they could welcome everyone. It was the beginning of a new start, and they were ready to begin it in the home of their dreams.
The Beginning
The couple met a few interior designers in Kanakapura before their relative told them to visit HomeLane. In the Kanakapura experience centre, the couple met their design expert, Mehjabeen, for the first time. Mehjabeen explained the basics of interior design (such as the materials they could choose, the benefits of each material, the prices etc.) to the couple as they were new to the field of interior design. They felt at ease with their designer who took time to understand their needs and present them with options as per their needs.
Glimpses
Living Room
The living room is designed keeping in mind the couple’s traditional aesthetics. The ornate sofa was given prominence by keeping the other elements in the room simple. The designer made sure that the room has plenty of light which was very important to the couple.
Dual-Toned Kitchen
This dual-toned kitchen is designed to make sure that it is super easy to keep clean. The light coloured backsplash and upper cabinets are designed to make the space look airy and light. The lights under the upper cabinets ensure that the counters are well lit even at night. Clean lines, no handles, no fuss.
Warm and Welcoming Guest Room
The couple wanted the guest room to be simple and welcoming for relatives who visited often. They wanted as much storage as possible to make sure that the room is completely utilised. Wardrobes with simple, hinged-doors give them plenty of storage to stove away seasonal clothes, partywear, linen and more. The corner shelf gives them the right opportunity to personalise the room with curios and pictures.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is a bright and airy space thanks to the white lacquered sliding doors of the wardrobe. The blue wallpaper makes the room look bright as well.
The Outcome
HomeLane’s team has designed and executed the ideal home for the couple. Every detail that the couple had in their mind has been incorporated in the design. The master bedroom, for example, is designed to look spacious and uncluttered. The white lacquered sliding wardrobe in the master bedroom is Veena’s favourite feature in the home. It adds a lot of light in the room and makes the room look airy and peaceful. In the kitchen, the high-gloss finish for the cabinets makes sure that keeping the kitchen clean is a breeze.
Finding the perfect location for your home may be hard, but with HomeLane, setting it up is so easy!
