Judge orders release of Armstrong intellectual property to close Ch. 11 Sales

Pappas (July 22, 2022, 5:08 p.m. EDT) – A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Friday ordered Armstrong World Industries Inc. to immediately assign perpetual, royalty-free rights to use the Armstrong trademark for flooring and tiling products, helping bankrupt Armstrong Flooring Inc. achieve sales of $203.3 million from its operations in North America, China and Australia.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Mary F. Walrath ruled Armstrong World consented to hand over trademark licenses because it did not object in May to her bidding proceedings order for a sale bankruptcy auction, nor had it objected earlier this month to its order approving the sales.
